What is FaithTech

FaithTech is a movement within cities bridging the gap between Faith and Technology. We are pioneering a new way to share the good news in an era driven by technology. We do three simple things: host innovative events, Faith@Work where we empower groups of Christians to meet regularly at their workplace, and FaithTech LABS where we discover, launch, and help grow tech companies focused on creating Kingdom-minded solutions to real world problems.

Our story

Our story begins in one of the brightest tech hubs in the world, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Waterloo Region has the second highest start-up density in the world. It is home to the world-renown University of Waterloo Engineering program. Waterloo is the fastest growing tech start-up ecosystem in Canada.

Sam Altman, President of Y Combinator (think Airbnb, Dropbox, Pintrest) said, "I think Waterloo is the most impressive up-and-coming startup city I've been to."

Enter the Local Church

We discovered a gap between Faith and Technology. Conversations on how theology interacts with technology. How the church is using emerging technology to advance the gospel. How the church provides resources and mentors to innovative social entrepreneurs. How Christians in tech were connecting. It was time to bridge the gap.

That's why we launched FaithTech

Past Events

FaithTech events strive to be innovative, interactive, thought-provoking and force a multiplier for putting ideas into action. On Friday, November 4th, 2016 FaithTech hosted the first of it's kind Innovation Talks. Innovation Talks was an inspiring night similar to TED talks, focused on inspiring the Christian community regarding technology innovation.
